Cesna 152 - UNB. 
This is an "aerobatic rated" aircraft, purchased from Singleton in NSW in July 1995, originally in a "tail wheel" configuration, but changed to a "tricycle undercarriage" for student training use. It had a new engine at the time of purchase by the Hawera Aero Club, and was fairly recently re-painted.
Specifications: 
Year of manufacture 1980
Engine: Lycoming 4 cylinder, horizontally opposed pistons, 110 Brake Horse Power
Model - Aerobat, 2 seater
Cruising speed 100 knots.

 


 

Cesna 172 - EOS. 
Purchased new by the club in Feb 1980, this aircraft has seen extensive commercial and private work at Hawera. It is on its third engine (most recently in 1996) and was completely repainted and had all control cables renewed in 1997.
Specifications: 
Year of manufacture 1979
Engine: Lycoming 4 cylinder, horizontally opposed pistons, 160 Brake Horse Power.
Model N - Four seater
Cruising speed 110 knots
Engine replaced at 2000 & 4000 hours
